Greetings!
We hope you have been doing well! You may know that we recently moved our family from Mifflinville to Berwick. It was quite an experience packing up the past twelve years of our lives! We are getting settled into our new home now after taking care of some of the necessities like adding a sewer line and a new HVAC system. We’ve also enjoyed acquiring more rabbits and chickens!
Over the past few years, God has allowed our family to build relationships with people in the Berwick community. This made the move to Berwick feel very natural. Over time, as we built relationships with people from Berwick, and especially since moving to Berwick, God has put a burden on our hearts for the people of Berwick. Over 10,000 people live within the borough, and about 20,000 people live in the Berwick zip code. These people need Jesus. We feel that the Berwick area needs more culturally relevant, gospel centered churches to meet the needs of this community.
After wrestling in prayer for some time, we feel called to plant a new church here in Berwick! Our desire for church planting began during our college years when we had planned to be involved in a church plant after graduation. While that project fell through, eventually God called us into full-time ministry at Shiloh Bible Church. We loved our time serving with Shiloh, but now God is calling us to church planting, and has opened the doors for us to receive training through Iron Mill Church in Danville, PA. Brandon started a Church Planting Residency program at Iron Mill in May. While there, he will have the opportunity to be ordained and receive training and experience in leadership, preaching, multiplication, counseling and a number of other necessary areas.
We are writing to see if you would prayerfully consider partnering with us in our church planting journey! During the residency, we need to raise $5000 for our salary for the first year and $10,000 for the second year, totaling $15,000. Would you consider partnering with us on a monthly basis of $25, $50, $100 or $200 per month? Or maybe a different amount that God leads you to give to help us bring a gospel centered church to the Berwick area. We are grateful for your prayers and financial partnerships and can’t wait to see what God does with your generosity!
